Pennsylvania's state prison system stopped letting inmates receive pornography by mail.


The policy is designed to improve working conditions for women, who make up about 23 percent of the Corrections Department's 15,000-person work force.
It also aims to keep porn out of the hands of convicted sex offenders, who were already prohibited from possessing it, but managed to get as long as it was inside the prison.
The guards' union backs the new policy, saying inmates stick up centerfolds to keep corrections officers from keeping an eye on them.
